This extended private tour allows ample time for you to explore the best of Skagway, the White Pass Summit and southern Yukon. Since this is a private tour, you will work directly with your guide to decide how you want to spend your time in this unique and special slice of Alaska and the Yukon territory.
You may want to visit The Yukon Suspension Bridge for an exciting look at the rushing waters of Tushi Canyon below. Or visit the Tutshi Sled Dog Camp, where you can cuddle up to some cute sled dog puppies. Perhaps you’d prefer to spend your time exploring and photographing jaw-dropping locations like Emerald Lake, the Tormented Valley, Bridal Veil Falls or the International Falls. Want a family photo at the Welcome to Alaska sign? No problem- your guide knows all the best stops and our smaller vehicles can sneak into the pullouts where the big buses don’t fit.
Stroll the lanes of the charming community of Carcross, set on the shores of historic Lake Bennett. Lunch is on your own- you may want to grab the bison chili at the Yukon Suspension Bridge, or eat at one of the various cafes in Carcross. If it’s a hot day, there’s nothing like a cool ice cream cone from the friendly folks at the Matthew Watson General Store in Carcross. Founded back during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898, it’s the oldest operating store in the Yukon Territory!
